Louise participated in the "Powering the Future" panel hosted by Innovation Bay, the Community for Aus & NZ Startup Founders & Investors, at the newly opened Greenhouse in Sydney on 30th July 2024. The event gathered the VC and Angel Invstor communities, and other industries to discuss how alternative fuels, particularly hydrogen, can address the challenges of decarbonising heavy industries like steel, cement, and chemical manufacturing.
During the panel, Louise shared insights into our innovative approach to producing hydrogen from waste biomass, focusing on the scalability and cost-effectiveness of on-site production compared to large-scale electrolysis. She highlighted hydrogen’s crucial role in the production of key chemicals, including methanol, ammonia, and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), emphasising the need for solutions where electrification is not feasible.
This event provided an excellent platform to debate how hydrogen can play a transformative role in decarbonising industries that are critical to a sustainable future.
