NSW Government backs burgeoning bio-based businesses

HydGene is pleased to be involved in supporting the successful bid led by Macquarie University which was awarded a $3.5 million grant from the NSW Government's Emerging Industry Infrastructure Fund Scheme. The funding will be used to support Synthetic Biology and Manufacturing in NSW, and in particular, the growth of facilities at the Australian Genome Foundry located at Macquarie University.

As a bio-based business, we are excited about the potential of Synthetic Biology to create sustainable solutions for the world's energy needs and are committed to driving innovation in the bio-based industry. The Australian Genome Foundry is a key facility that we use for accelerating the development of our strain technologies, and we are thrilled to see it receive support from the NSW Government. This grant is an important step towards achieving our goals and we look forward to continuing to work with Macquarie University, and other project partners who have supported this application, to bring about positive change in the world.
